"Pretty sure you would be the one that needs to “get a grip” The only poll that matters is the one on election day."

I'm glad you're pretty sure. That makes me feel better.

The damage that Obama will cause this country and a future Conservative movement, may very well be beyond repair.

Everybody is forgetting lifetime appointments to SCOTUS and federal judgeships --We will NEVER recover from activist left wing judges short of armed rebellion which isn't going to happen

Psycho honey, I Hear You. That is why I’m talking to people like this. I believe that for what I’m enduring to do this I qualify for some type of award or something. I run in circles (knitting circles mostly) that contain so many rabid union Democrat voters that it makes my head spin. They are saying they usually vote Democrat but this time they “just don’t know” but will probably vote Dem because “we can’t afford another Republican”. Makes me literally sick to my stomach. It’s all I can do to sit there and not pop a gasket.

These are the same babes who like to discuss who was on The View that day.

So just to keep things from melting down, I take a few deep breaths and then gently suggest that voting for McCain is really voting Democrat since he is really pretty much a Democrat. I think it’s working, at least getting them to think about it. They like Sarah, generally.

Another scheme Obama has in mind is to add 3 more judges to make a total of 12, with the help of Congress which will insure that the Democrats dominate the SCOTUS from here on out. He also plans on a “movement” to eliminate the Electoral College which will insure Socialism’s “Mob Rule” requirement.

Believe me, Hugo Chavez is sitting up in admiration of Obama and is hoping for his complete victory. We can be sure that contributions for Chavez are flowing in, as well as his personal effort to get Obama elected.

I live in Northern Minnesota........

Here, it has been die-hard Farming/Democrat since I can remember. Although they are socially conservative, they vote Democrat like Pavlov’s Dogs.

In fact they call the Democrat party here, the “D.F.L.” (Democrat, Farm, Labor.) They are so damned ignorant that there is no hope to give them our side. One of them said that Bush had created the worst war in the history of the World where more Americans and people have died than ever in the history of the World.

When I mention World War 2 or 1, to counter their claim, all I get are blank stares.

Oh, and they watch CNN, ABC, C-BS, and NBC for news, and the “RED Star Tribune on Sundays. It’s truly sickening.

You the Man LOL

Do not forget the “Red Dawn” DVD.

McCain is winning, I say that because Obama needs to be up 15 in RAS and Gallup to win

Wow Battleground is great.

RAS had Bush up 10 in 2000

Gallup had Ford 49 to 48 over Carter in 1976

So did Dewey in 1948.

We heard this from the Kerry camp in 2004.

RAS had Bush up 10 in 2000”

Do you have a link on that?

That is an impressive record. I would just slightly modify the 2004 numbers.

The actual results were Bush 50.73 and Kerry 48.27.

Dude, I researched it last week and found the RAS 2000 chart, I am at work now so do not have the time.

It was confirmed by LadyNavyvet also, and many others here.

I will look for the link later today for you.

No prob., I trust you have the data. 10 points off is pretty bad.

Battleground, on the other hand, has a good track record.

That’s the hope I am going to cling to here!!!

Dude that is the site, navigate it to 2000 elections

RAS had Bush 49%, Gore 40%, Nader 4% in his final 2000 Poll.

Looks like it was actually Gore 49, Bush 40, Nader 4 (unless I am reading it wrong). But even so, you are right in that it was wayyyyy off (of course in 2000 so was Battleground....).

Thanks for that link too.

2004 is not a good example for 2008. 2000 is the best for 2008.

In 2000, Gallup had it 48- 46 Bush, BG was off 6, RAS was off 9 to 10.

The Gallup final poll, I think, is usually pretty well spot on.

That is why I’m worried now. Yes, there is some solace in BG and the fact that the others might be loading up on too many D’s.

But then again, they might not....

I agree, but the final Gallup poll is in 5 weeks.

They did blow 2000 also, 46 for Gore? They had him down 2 to Bush.
