Ask the Candidates a Question — Now extended until 4pm (ET) Today!

Senators McCain and Obama have committed to answering the 14 questions young Americans choose as most important to them in The Walden University Presidential Youth Debate. Send your questions in below, and then choose the final questions on September 30th!

Their video responses will air October 20th right here, not only giving young Americans the answers they need to vote for the future they want, but also giving Americans of all ages their last look at where the candidates stand on the same exact issues before the Election!

TOPICS: Breaking News; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS:
Submit your questions in the next hour and a half, and your question could be included. Figured some here might enjoy the opportunity.

Found via "feministing.com", which apparently intended to solicit a few barbs for McCain/Palin, and a softball or two for Obama.

Question #2:
“Barack 0bama, with the president seeking $700 billion dollars and unprecedented power for the Treasury Secretary for the next two years, it is important for us to know, who will you appoint to be your Treasury Secretary?”

FReepers, everyone needs to submit the question too.
The more that submit it, the better chance it has of being asked.

Question for both: Few Senators have suceeded at being elected President. Why should anyone vote for either of you who are so eminently unqualified?

From Dan Carlin’s Common Sense, episode 123.

• The red phone rings at 3 am and you pick it up. They tell you a nuclear bomb has gone off in a U.S. mainland port. What do you do? After the emergency response procedures are put into place, after the recovery efforts go into effect, after you visit the site to pray and survey the damage. What is your first concrete foreign policy act in response to that? Bonus: When it is investigated as to how this happened, it turns out it was smuggled through the U.S. Mexican border, what do you do?
• Has the constitution and the basic freedoms of Americans been damaged by the war on terror? And if it has, will you pledge to undo the damage? Which amendment do you think will reverse the damage that has been done to the Constitution.
• What is the worst plank in the Current Democratic/Republican Platform, which one do you think doesn’t belong there?
• You’ve been president for a year and gas spikes up to $6.00 a gallon. Do you as president do anything about this? Beyond the short term solutions of releasing the petroleum reserves etc. Or is that not the president’s job?
• Do you believe the Executive Branch is too much powerful right now, and if so what will you pledge to do about that right now?
• Iran tests a Nuclear weapon after claiming for years that they were building for peaceful purposes. The reporters ask your opinion on the subject, what do you do the day after Iran proves they have a nuclear weapon.
• Please name for us the special interest groups here in the United States are the biggest roadblocks for getting Healthcare reform, and tell us what you would do to remove that impediment?
• What is more important in a McCain/Obama Presidency, Democracy in the Middle East or regime’s that are friendly to the U.S. in war and you cannot answer both?

Four-part question: 1) Do you believe that the Constitution is the supreme guideline and foundation for the laws of this country as it is currently written, why or why not; 2) Do you believe that the Constitution and its guidelines for the formation of our government must be followed in order for our country and form of government to exist, flourish and continue; 3) Are you fully qualified and eligible to be elected POTUS; 4) Can you prove your eligibility/qualifications in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt?

Can you prove your eligibility/qualifications in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt?

That's easy: Here ya go!

1)35 years old or older
2)Born in the United States
3)Not a Felon
4)Can't serve more than twice
5)Have been a permanent resident in the United States for at least fourteen years.

You see, their is no law for "Qualifications" so in a court of law, that wouldn't be applicable, it's all relative.

I can’t believe I never got my 300 bucks from Kerry. Typical liberal...

I read that the Alaskan summer was fabulous this year. Too bad it fell on a Wednesday. Maybe if Obama is elected he can do something about that shit...

“after you visit the site to pray and survey the damage.”

I believe at this point, he would do nothing as he would be dead.
