One political question we have to answer is whether George W. Bush or Albert Gore shall be president and just which party will control the House of Representatives and the Senate. But I'd suggest that there's a far more important long run question we must answer: If one group of people prefers government control and management of people's lives and another prefers liberty and a desire to be left alone, should they be required to fight, antagonize one another, risk bloodshed and loss of life in order to impose their preferences or should they be able to peaceably part company and go their separate ways?
Like a marriage that has gone bad, I believe there are enough irreconcilable differences between those who want to control and those want to be left alone that divorce is the only peaceable alternative. Just as in a marriage, where vows are broken, our human rights protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution have been grossly violated by a government instituted to protect them. Americans who are responsible for and support constitutional abrogation have no intention of mending their ways.
Let's look at just some of the magnitude of the violations.

Dr. Williams, a Rush fill-in may have had it right the whole time, we've just needed a spark. This latest socialist fiasco from Washington DC may just push us over the edge.
I know I'm tired of sitting back and letting the leftists just ruin this country. Maybe the whole thing can't be saved, but as Williams argues, perhaps we can just amicably split up.

Reading this makes me very sad. I never imagined a time when the fire of Liberty would not burn in the chests of all Americans.

I’m not sure I like the part about moving to Louisiana or Texas. I wanna stay here in beautiful Southwest Virginny!

Gee, I'd hate to see the real mess we'd be in had not Bush won ;-\

I know Texas is a huge state..but it would be heavily overpopulated if we all moved there.

The only solution is to break things apart and start over. We can’t live with the left.

I've been saying that I wish the South won the Civil War so I would have somewhere to move to.
Now, I'll go don my asbestos and await the flaming.

I'm sad as well, this day never had to come. But, thanks to FDR, LBJ and the left, it's where we are.
Read Amity Shlaes “Forgotten Man” and a new book I'm just finishing Tim Tzouliadis. These both are real eye openers about the 30’s.

Nah, that's not really the American thing to do. What we need to do is build consensus on conservative values and a real and powerful majority that won't be corrupted.

This caught my eye and my imagination 8 years ago & I've referred back to it several times, thinking, "We are indeed in diametrically opposed positions on so many issues. Are we right now truly 'One Nation'?" I want the one that was founded by the Pilgrims, Puritans, and patriots of the Revolution.

I was thinking maybe Alaska. Who is gonna bother us there except lame-brained reporters on a seek and destroy mission?

I forgot to title the book by Tim Tzouliadis. Its called The Forsaken.

I think it’s way beyond the time that anything like that is possible. Frankly, I don’t see how this is salvageable.

I am for doing this peacfully, but I don't think the left wants peace.
They see us as an enemy, just as we see them.
Unfortunately this may come down to a fight. Just what we don't need at this time of China and Russia/Iran surging.
As soon as the first shot in this counter revolution is fired, both Russia and China will move to take what they want and we will be powerless to stop it.

Being a Texan, I damned sure agree with that but I’d just as soon go it alone (Texas, independent Republic once again).

I believed that too...20+ years ago when I worked up on “The Hill” for a couple of different Members of Congress; that was under Reagan. Those days are gone, there is no way to rebuild unless or until really bad things happen. I'd rather split while there's still something to split into.
There's a whole generation of people raised on the 60’s and 70’s liberal pablum, the problem is just too big.

Nonsense, our founding fathers would call you a big p*ssy for being so willing to toss away the great system they fought so hard to create. The amazing thing about a representation form of Government is we are in control. It is our job to show why conservatism is better and build consensus. Seems to me a bunch of people here are just bored and think a revolution would be fun. My dad is a very smart man. He'd say "Revolution, we get one every two years at the polls."
All you blow hards who can see no way out but a civil war are enemies of America.
