In what is being billed as the first time they've ever played at the same concert, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel have signed on for a benefit for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama on Oct. 16 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Other "exciting guests" for the show have yet to be announced. Balcony tickets are $500, while premiere seats are $2,500 and lounge seats are $10,000. They can be purchased by clicking here.

Springsteen, who endorsed Obama this spring, recently finished a tour with the E Street Band in support of his 2007 album, "Magic." On Sunday, it was confirmed the group will play during the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 1 in Tampa, Fla.

Joel, meanwhile, begins a month-long tour of China, Australia, Japan and New Zealand Nov. 12 in Hong Kong.

Oh, Elton John will be there. He’ll be bringing up the rear.

IF you football fans walked the walk, you will boycott watching the superbowl this year.

I don’t know if I would call Obama empty suit, I hear that constantly. He is certainly full of his so called importance, however, I think he is really quite shrewd if you can keep him from stuttering. For example, he said so many things in the debate that should have been challenged.
First, that part about his father, Kenya and US not being held in high regards should have been challenged. That part that McCain said he was the far most left senator and Obama responded that it was because he had to vote against Bush, McCain should have challenged. The thing about middle class. Well any dummy knows that McCain included that in in talk, but Obama saw an opening of McCain not specifically and went for it. However. I do not know in this type of debate if it is proper to refute nutty statements. Obama is a master at some things. IMHO he has followed Alinsky’s teachings perfectly. I wouldn’t underestimate him at all. He obviously has some top people telling him how what to say

I love the way this country works, when we’re pissed off we wake up and rise to the occsion, like the immigration bill and like the financial crisis. I was never a Springsteen fan, but Bill Joel! I will do what every self respecting American would do in a case like this BOYCOTT.
We as American have a choice, WE THE PEOPLE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS, if you don’t like what is going on and feel small and helpless? You can do something that will have a great impact! BOYCOTT! Music artists, media sponsors, and corporations who are supporting and hiding the truth about thier candidate and the criminals who coddle and support need to know that we all have a voice no matter how small they may think we are!

I remember when I was twenty seven. My dream was to marry an over-the-hill bald guy six inches shorter than I.

NOT!

Haha! I have one daughter. If, after she graduates college and has her whole life ahead of her at 27, choses to marry a man of 59 - older than her Daddy and me - that would break my heart.

You forgot to mention the 7 figure net worth - that always seems to cover a lot.
