"Talking to the choir won’t hurt Gov Palin, but its not going to help with Independent and undecided voters"

True, but she needs to reassure the base, which is impossible in the MSM Waterboarding treatment.

I heard that they recruited her PR team from Bush, which would explain a lot, since the White House has the stupidest PR people known to humankind.

Not any more. Davis and Schmidt have replaced the Bushies, so the rumor goes. If so, she should be better in the next week. If she survives the Biden debate, I'm sure she will be let loose. As for McCain, I'm getting tired of the bi-partisan pablum he's been pushing lately. You can't be friends with sharks; they'll take your hand off and then come back for the arm.

O'Reilly doesn't bother me. I enjoy his show, although I disagree with the man as much as I agree with him. Folks here who believed, or expected that Bill was going to be a conservative, well, some of them tend to be very disappointed.

I think a Palin appearance on his show would be a good thing. The campaign just doesn't want to give too much exposure to Fox News all at once. (Although I personally love to hear the libs/media shriek and wail!!) :-)

I’ve never heard Laura diss Palin. I’ve only heard her diss the McCain camp’s Palin strategy. I don’t even remember her talking about the SNL stuff. Tell me what day it was and I’ll find the clip. Like I said, I’m a member of the fan club — I can access the show’s archives.

LOL, I'm not fibbing, but it had to have been after the 1st SNL, which I think was about 2wks ago? Maybe three? I have heard it more than once, maybe 3 or 4 times.

Sorry I don't know a date.

Schmidt’s gone? I thought he was on MTP Sunday?

I hope not, I liked him.

You’re right. With just about everything trending against the GOP, this election should’ve been a lock for Obama. Many Americans remain unsure if Obama is the right choice and for good reason. He’s not just untested, he’s a hardcore liberal.

Having said that, the campaign is running out. Its time for McCain-Palin to match Obama-Biden on all fronts. Otherwise ....

After the convention I said she should do Lou Dobbs....I'm not real fond of him, but I'll bet he would be fair, get her to feel comfortable....and will have good questions.

Okay, okay. I'll take your word for it. ;)

But it's a long way from saying that Laura thought the 1st SNL skit was funny (I laughed at it too) to implying that she's joined Kathleen Parker in dissing Palin. For the record, she NEVER has dissed Palin. The Palin interview I'm most looking forward to is the one which I hope she will soon do with Laura.

I know, EVERYONE thinks it is funny.

I am in the tiny, tiny, minority.....I just cannot stand anymore of Hollywood making fun of our guys and gals.

I have completely gone around the bend with this stuff, and am no fun anymore!

Now THAT would make the evening news. Katie’s face on an interrogation room wall at Gitmo.

I hear ya, friend. I laughed bitterly during the 2nd SNL Palin skit because I knew that she blew the Couric interview. Some of the skit was practically verbatim from the interview. But I was also sad because I knew how unfair it all is.

I've seen pretty much all of the old Palin pre-VP candidate interviews, and I KNOW that she's a smart and truly decent and honest candidate.

I feel strangely "protective" of her because the Palins remind me so much of the people I grew up with before I moved out here to the Left Coast. In fact, she reminds me of my sister-in-law. And if there's anyone who can get things done, it's my sister-in-law.

The whole Palin candidacy reminds me of the scene in the movie "Dave" when Charles Grodin's character balances the national budget by using the common sense methods of a small business owner.

Her candidacy represents the belief that ordinary Americans can rise up to be leaders. You don't have to go to Harvard or Yale or be a millionaire to become president. If we concede this point, we lose something precious. We admit to being ruled by an elite. We become a nation of "rulers" and "subjects" instead of a nation of citizens represented by fellow citizens. We've been governed most of our history by millionaires and Harvard-heads. Why not allow an honest middle class PTA Mom to give it a try?

(And speaking of the PTA, when was the last time we had a candidate on either ticket who sent his kids to public school?)

I agree.

She would be a great VP, (just give the Gov a week on FR, and she will be up to speed on everything), lol.

She is no coward, and has guts that is for sure. There is nothing in her background, career, her personal life, or her associates that would make her unqualified. So far she has said nothing to make me think differently.

She loves and is loyal to her country, and I would trust her completely with a serious decision, which is more than I can say for Hussein.

My fear is that she has been so maligned, that no Conservative, especially a woman, will every run again.

Just the way the MSM would like it.

Yeah, I get that. But, are you saying that is effecting the way he campaigns?

Sarah needs to stress the point that an executives job is to lead, not to know everything. A good executive surrounds himself with people who have special knowledge, and knows that he can’t know everything.

She needs to stress that Obama has no track record in the executive position, and who he has chosen to surround himself with!

Exactly! The level of smear thrown at candidates is making it nearly impossible for "normal" people to run for office. Soon only the most ambitious of megalomaniacs with a near pathological immunity to shame will even consider it. Who else would want to put themselves and their family through this nightmare?

Georgia is solid McCain....

Quit worrying, everyone knew this would be close, funny thing is it shouldn’t be because any Democratic candidate should be kickin’ our butt due to the war and the economy.....

If it’s this close with those factors in play, chances are we will win....
