I wasn't basing it solely on the polls, but you have to admit they don't look good for the GOP ticket right now. After watching this stuff for almost 50 years, its obvious that its gonna take a big push by McCain to make him the winner. The credit bailout debate in DC hasn't gone well for McCain. He should have sided with the House conservatives, instead of continuing to push for a massive government intervention. Other variables are trending against the GOP ticket. Times running out.
Interesting points. Perception is the reality of the day so Why in this election with the incumbent literally hated by half the voting population because of misteps and war and the shrill partisanship played by the Democrats in every press conference and media statement, the media firmly encamped with the Obama campaign, shielding him from hard questions and any real personal analysis, followed by this major financial system meltdown (Read: Pro Republican Capitalism) How is it possible to only be trailing by 6 points?
ANSWER: There really is something about Obama that America just doesn’t like you can feel it, and most independents and undecided’s, they are still looking at McCain to tell them why him and not Obama. The first indication of this was post GOP debate, Sarah Palin said alot about why McCain and not Obama. The media have mistreated her in attempts to make her irrelavant. However, the Sarah Palin that took the stage at the GOP Convention has an opportunity to re-surge herself at the Debates. If she holds her own things will swing back to a tie but if she dominates Biden, which I think will be the case, then McCain will most likey finish strong.
