I may be wrong, but I think Rush said this morning that he thinks Pelosi intended for the bill not to pass knowing it would probably cause a financial crisis and then blame the Republicans for it.

Do you agree?

I hate to disagree with Rush, but, she KNEW the bill was unpopular but WANTED it to pass, badly. She tried to boondoggle Republicans into supporting it, but since it was unpopular she let any democrat who was not safe election wise vote AGAINST it.

She was going to get the massive power grab and socialism and have all democrats re-elected in their safe seats who voted for it AND have democrats in the not safe seats be re-elected who voted AGAINST it

e Republicans who voted for that bill would be in big trouble and she knew it, that was the most un-Republican bill ever. Pretty clever, until she opened her stupid trap and the Republicans saw that this "bipartisan" bill was being voted AGAINST by a lot of DEMOCRATS.

I think my analysis is correct, Pelosi and company were DEVASTATED that it didn't pass, they were hoping to trick Republicans into getting it passed and take no political risk.

As far as her knowing the bill would cause a "financial crisis", I don't think it would have caused a financial crisis, it allowed almost unlimited funds to anyone who needed it, but she knew it would be unpopular.
