"--- On October 2, 2008, she will moderate the first Vice-Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin at Washington University in St. Louis.
On January 20, 2009, her new book The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama will be released. ---"

**Something ain't right about that.**

I tend to doubt that she will.
KansasCity.com has some other details about her selection as moderator, although it doesn't mention her upcoming book deal.
Maybe Sarah should begin the debate by congratulating Gwen Ifill on her new Obama book.
That would be an excellent Move!
Should be recuse rather than reprise.
I Obama wins, Ifil’s book sales go through the roof. If he loses, the book goes in the tank.
GWEN IFILL: So now, do you think that her nomination in any way is in peril tonight?
TUCKER BOUNDS: Absolutely not. I think that her nomination is emboldened every day that this convention goes along, because everyone in that room there is excited about hearing from Governor Palin, excited about change in Washington. That's what they're electing John McCain to do, shake things up, build on his reform record, work in a bipartisan way. Governor Palin has done it in Alaska; she's going to do it in Washington, if we're fortunate enough to be victorious in November.

It would appear to be too late to change moderators as the new one would probably not have time to prepare new questions and would have to read from Ifill's list.
I watched the 2004 debate between Cheney and Edwards, moderated by Ifill. She was fair and did not slant to one or the other.
I’ll be watching Thursday, and I expect Ifill to be as neutral as she was in 2004. I hope my expectations are correct.
Yeah, I also remember her being fair. If anything, I think she'll be working hard to be fair (even at the expense of Biden) this year, as she knows a small showing of bias will be source of big controversy. With her book coming, there's no way to defend herself.
Their voice mailbox is full but call the Commission on presidential Debates tomorrow on 202-872-1020 and give them an earfull.
We’ll get Ifill canned.
If there is any conservative out there who actually contributes to NPR or PBS..will you please call your local and tell them you are canceling.
This is as bad a conflict as having Barney Frank vote on the bail out.
If they are having a local daily money drive..call and tell the volunteer you won’t contribute.
The Mailbox is still full on the main number but I managed to find an extension (144) with space in their mailbox. Try any three digit extension number starting at 100 and leave a message.
“She was fair and did not slant to one or the other.”
But, she didn’t have MONEY riding on the outcome of that one, did she?
