Personally I think this is pointless and hollow issue to pursue. Ifill moderated the Cheney-Edwards debate and was perfectly fine. She has earned a rep for being moderate which is why the McCain camp approved her in the first place. All this crying to the refs is going to hurt us with only 34 days to go.

I take it this is a joke. Did Ms Ifill also write a book she hoped would be a bestseller about Cheney or Edwards? The woman has a financial interest in Obama’s success. Were she at all ethical, she would recuse herself. I guess you also thought Franz Liebkind was an objective observer of Der Fuhrer’s machinations.

yes, but she hadn’t written a book praising John Edwards. That’s the difference.

You have been drinking too much koolaid again. Ifill works for PBS which is proven to be heavily liberal hacks feeding at the federal trough. Ifill didn’t have biased book favoring Edwards during that debate. McCain’s camp is reported to have been unaware of the book at the time Ifill was approved to be the moderator. There is not 34 days until the Palin-Biden debate. There is actually not enough time to replace Ifill. There is time to expose her bias, possibly by a special announcement at the begining of the debate. Since there is the possibility Ifill has leaked her questions to Biden, they could be released to the public in advance.

Ms Ifill stands to significantly benefit from her book sales. It would be appropriate for her to announce proceeds would be be given to a legitament charity. That does not mean ACORN or any other liberal cause. Perhaps one of the wounded warriors programs would be appropriate.

Finally, Ms Ifill should resign or be fired from PBS. She has proven her true bias that discredits her future reporting. Maybe she can become one of those “community organizers”. There seems to be good money in that sector.
