I lived in England for 2 years in the 70’s. Loved it. The countryside was beautiful and the people were just terrific.
However, even back then the socialism was beginning to take its toll on then Country and its people.
From article I have read in the past yar I doubt seriously that I would recognize the country I had lived in if I visited today.
Seems the British have just about surrender any effort to PROTECT their citizens.
They have cameras every 5 feet in the cities and may prosecute the bottom feeder that kills you but do anything to prevent it? Seems to be no. As for outside the cities it seems that they no longer have enough human being police to even respond to emergency calls. What a shame.
And now we have people that want to vote this into America. We must be insane................

You'd be surprised how little has changed in many parts of the country.

I also lived in the UK during the 70's. I remember a strike that resulted in repeated blackouts. After one chicken farmer lost his chicks twice, he loaded up a pressurized container of liquid chicken manure, drove to the picket line, "washed" the picketing non-workers, and fled back to his farm.

The picketers gave chase, but were rebuffed at the edge of his farm when the farmer fired his shotgun in the air.

Hard to imagine that happening today.
