As much as I think McCain has made a lot of bad mistakes during this campaign, I can’t help but wonder if they kept Palin hidden to avoid the “Obama fatigue factor” and use the VP debate as an opportunity to “reintroduce” her to the American people for the final push home. I mean it’s strange:

McCain’s campaign should have been done in June 07, but he survived. After shoring the nomination, he ran a lackluster effort during the Obama-Clinton battle and let Obama steal the early air....but then hit Obama with the “celebrity” ads and some other good ads that made the press. He left doubts among social conservatives...then had his Saddleback performance. He left concern on who his VP pick would be, then picked a true conservative woman. It seems like at every angle, although waiting until almost the very end, McCain has found a way to claw his campaign back from the jaws of defeat.

Which is why I think he saved Palin for an October reintro to offset the anger among the bailout issue. I suspect she’ll have the gloves off, name the names, and do and say all the things we wished McCain would have in his first debate against Obama.

I pray that you are right and McCain ‘saved Palin so that she’ll have the gloves off, name the names, and do and say all the things we wished McCain would have in his first debate against Obama. Governor Palin is the game changer.
