Our Congress is corrupt to the core! They are obviously not listening to the American people. They only care about themselves and their pet projects.

We seem to be on a train towards socialism (which could become runaway at any time)!

I am screaming mad! Yesterday in Portland there were people who probably haven’t agreed with each other on anything political in 20 years but who joined together to protest this “bailout”. There were long haired hippies, Obama supporters, McCain supporters - all freaking pissed!

This a.m. on Fox I heard Maxine Waters blaming all this on a lack of regulation. She wasn’t even challenged!!! ENOUGH!

Whew, I was sure glad to see that not getting a rebate for riding a bike is a “National Crisis”. Thank you guys, I feel safer now knowing we have morons in the Senate

Nope, a kickback to Nancy's husband who owns $17 million in shares in Del Monte...the islands biggest business.

This was McCain’s chance to burnish his maverick creds.. he could have stood up, pointed out the pork, pointed out the insanity of bailing out banks who should fail (is the invisible hand no longer a valid concept), in short, given the country an example of true leadership... but NOOO... couldn’t resist the insider consensus to shore up the D.C.-Wall St. lobbyist cocktail party circuit. Didn’t even bother to speak at all... guess he hoped to vote and sneak out unnoticed...

The #10 lulu for American Samoa is the Pelosi aggrandizement item, since she and her hubby have a major stake in Del Monte, which runs a major STARKIST processing
operation in American Samoa.

This is the same SENATE outfit that EXEMPTED American Samoa from having to abide by the new Federal minimum wage rates that took effect this summer.
