Agreed on all accounts! A GOP night for sure...if you would have asked me at 3 pm today if this were possible I would have said not a chance in hell.
I too want McCain to take the gloves off, but not with childish name-calling.
McCain can easily take Obama apart with the facts instead of name-calling.
My feeling is that it will come in debate # 3

No, that’s not the point and never was.
No one wants the GOP to take off the gloves and start smacking the DNC around more then I, but when it’s done the way Morris did it, the message gets lost in the delivery.
Skillfully and tactfully shredding someone with words and facts when done right is an art form and a thing of beauty when done right.
Morris lost his composure and started with the name-calling and immature behavior.
That’s an example of how not to do it.
Hannity gave an example of doing it the right way.
Colmes is a DNC shill and when cornered his does what all debaters of limited skills do, and that is recite talking points.
That’s the level of his intellectual depth, and Morris sank to and below Colmes’ level.
Personally, I think he should apologize to Colmes for the personal attacks and insults, but not for the point he made.
Morris could have just said something like “Alan, we can disagree, but the fact that you’re constantly parroting talking points instead of debating facts is just proof you have no legitimate argument to make and don’t have the facts on your side.”
Your tagline is a good example of how McCain should do it.
Use tact, wit, and humor.
That is far more effective then losing one’s composure and engaging in name-calling.
Anyway, I’m too happy tonight after watching the debate.
The MSM is already spinning it, but I know Millions of American’s saw the debate tonight and saw Palin on the National stage for the first time in over a month and saw the future of our country, and the more of this type of exposure she gets, the better.
They’ve been getting the biased, MSM edited version of Palin, not the real Sarah Palin like we saw tonight.

I've watched Dick Morris do it 'the right way' with Colms a dozen times.
Colms is unable to take a hint. He kept working hard and long for a real swat upside the head.
Tonight, Dick finally did do it the right way.
Please. Morris wasn’t “wrong” on his choice of words. Ask yourself what your options are when you are being shouted down and spoken over while you are making incisive points? Colmes was reading from his dem talking points and interrupting Morris in the process when he was trying to make a point. At that stage you have no option but to increase in the volume and if necessary treat, in this case Colmes, like the prattling child he was. Unfortunately he couldn’t spank Colmes so the best thing is to give him a verbal spanking and that he gave Colmes in spades.
You’re living in a dreamworld of nice little conversations at home. Sorry. The left qua MEDIA don’t care for your gentlemanly mannerisms. They’ll grind you to dust and spit you out. It’s hardball. But I understand if you can’t play hardball then leave it to those who can. But don’t denigrate what, in effect, becomes a necessity in response.
I have never, ever seen Morris that mad. Libtard Colmes just sat there with that stupid look on his face. It was beautiful! I even backed up the Tivo and watched it again :)

Handle it with class, tact, wit and even humor.

Hey - I don’t fault Dick at all. It’s been a deliberate reaction of Colmes - he’s well aware of what he is doing and has been doing. But because of PC - one is expected to be gooey, sweet, unassertive, walk on eggshells, placate, etc.
Anything else is considered rude - incredible!! I can tell by some responses here, PC has truly blinded some and it’s no wonder some men act like wusses instead of saying it like it is! IMO, Hannity doesn’t need Colmes - if I wanted to hear the liberal mantra for the day - I have the rest of the alphabet soup to drink. I’d like one program where it’s a no liberal zone. You know what - Dick spoke what many of us have spoken to Colmes through the TV for years. That said - I don’t even watch it anymore.
