Arizona you must stop Prop 202
Online Publication ^ | October 3, 2008 | Epstein, Marcus

Aggressive mimicry is a biological strategy where a predator or parasite will imitate a harmless or even helpful species to help attract their their prey—Aesop’s fable about a wolf donning sheep’s clothing was well-observed. This tactic is currently being used by the Treason Lobby in Arizona in an attempt to undermine the state’s tough laws against employers of illegal aliens.

This November, the Arizona Ballot will feature Proposition 202, called the "Stop Illegal Hiring Act." The was summarized to petition signers and will be given to voters as...

Limited to this information, any Arizonian would think they were voting to get tough on employers of illegal immigrants. But unfortunately the opposite is true. The act is over 4,000 words long, and nearly incomprehensible—even more so than most laws. While it does increase some penalties for hiring illegal immigrants and for identity theft, it makes it almost impossible for the state to prosecute these crimes. Worst of all, it would effectively overturn the Legal Arizona Workers Act (LAWA.)

This Prop 202 is political deception at its worst. If you live in Arizona, don't support Prop 202.

The title "Stop Illegal Hiring Act" is only there to fool you.

To read the entire article you'll have to go to eradV (read in reverse) to see it.

Sorry, the link is to eradV (read it backwards). It is the cover story. Apparently not a well liked site here, but I knew of no other way to expose this deceptive piece of legislation.

Even FR is too politically correct.

I spent some time studying Prop 202 last weekend, it is “amnesty for employers who hire illegals.”

Isn’t it amazing the kind of double-speak deception we face these days?

Nothing should ever be accepted on face value.

How many, that really want to stop illegal aliens will unwittingly vote for 202?

I hope Arizona rejects this thing!

What prompted you to study 202? Any other conclusions? And who’s behind this mess?

Prop 202 requires the government to “prove” that an employer had direct knowledge that they hired an IA and that any complaints made reporting illegal hiring must be in written form and notarized. Essentially it ties they hands of prosecutors and removes a person from reporting anonymously violations.AWB

I see your point - that no employer will ever be found guilty.

Expect more of this sort of legislation to start showing up at the local and state level in different areas of the country.

The Pay Day Loan Reform prop (200 I think) we have here is another bait and switch. It actually gets rid of what little restrictions they have.

Read them carefully, and when in doubt vote no. The universal rule.

Several of us study the Props every election, and put together a voter guide on the initiatives.

Who's behind it:

Arizona Farm Bureau

Westmark

Mac Magruder, (Macdonalds franchise owner)

Western Growers

numerous others who have been hiring illegals.

Thanks for the info and for doing the work to research this stuff.

I trust that a lot of voters get the information you work to compile.

I certainly hope so. Hey c-b, can you shoot me anything I can use here in Cochise Cty to get the word out about Prop 202?
