I spent time over the weekend trying to track down the laundering and law license issues with Barry and Michelle. It appears Michelle saw a better income opportunity than practicing law. There was once a link to the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission reference at this

No doubt the web has been scrubbed. I can see anyone taking a better income opportunity, but it's rare for one to have gone to law school and then give up their license after a few years.
She was only at Sidley Austin until 1991. Then she latched onto Valerie Jarrett (huge Chicago Machine bigwig) who's now prominent on Obama’s campaign. By 1993, another job change to head up “Public Allies Chicago” and she's no longer licensed to practice law.
I'm totally intrigued.
