Pretty much, yeah. What proof did Bush or Kerry or Gore or any prior president provide?
Oh, please dont tell us that the citizenship qualification is only based on an honor system.
Again, pretty much, yeah. There is nothing in the law requiring a candidate present his or her credentials to any agency prior to running.
Prior to running, you are correct. HOWEVER, before the Chief Justice of the SCOTUS can administer the oath of office, there must be some evidence required, musn’t there? How else do you comply with the Constitution?
Thanks for the response. I really was wondering.
It sounds like a candidate does not have to PROVE citizenship. However, if someone else proves he is NOT a natural born citizen, does that count for disqualification?
Also, per your thoughts, what standard of proof would it take someone else to prove his is not a natural born citizen to the point of disqualifying him for the Presidency?
Perhaps proof of citizenship was shown when they served in the military?
There was no question as to their citizenship. Domestic birth, both parents citizens with long traditions easily verifiable.
Why won’t Zero just produce the document? Why don’t you want him to?
