The election goes forward and if he cannot prove he is eligible to take the office, then the VP takes the office.

Voters have the right to know at the time they cast their ballot that their candidate is eligible for office under the requirements of the Constitution. I do not understand why the FEC is not actively investigating the qualifications of ALL the candidates---including OBAMA. They should be the clearing house to insure that the eligibility requirement has been met. By the way, I did send a message to the FEC to express this concern.

No they do not.

The Constitution does not prohibit anyone from running for president merely because they are not qualified. The constitution merely prohibits someone who is not qualified from taking the office.

The Voters have no rights to any information regarding a candidate. They do not have a "right" to know his age, his birthplace, his sex, his height, his weight or his criminal record.
