Hear hear. And it is indeed audacious. Imagine if someone had told you immediately following 9/11/01 that in a mere seven years a guy who had a Muslim upbringing and who has very close associations with terrorists (Ayers) and black nationalists (Wright) and whose candidacy has been endorsed by the Communist Party USA, the Castros, Chavez, Hamas, and Hezbollah would be a whisker away from the Presidency. You'd probably (and justifiably) have thought the prognosticator in question was ready for the rubber room. But alas, this is precisely what has happened. The collective amnesia and denial involved here is beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
