I didn’t thinks Ayres should be the focus now but Axelrod’s comment that Obama didn’t know Ayres’ history does fit nicely into an ad that ties things together. Something like this:

Obama’s defense amounts to claiming to be too stupid to know who his buddies are. Not a quality you want in a President.
