Republican presidential nominee John McCain and his vice-presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, will appear in Virginia Beach next Monday morning at the resort city's convention center.

That afternoon, Palin will stump in Richmond. She'll be the headliner at a rally at the Arthur Ashe Center.

Wasn’t Palin or McCain initially going to Va. Beach in mid September, and then it was re-scheduled? My memory’s foggy here, but I seem to recall that.

They did the event in Fairfax. I’m drawing a blank about Virginia Beach.

Yeah, Fairfax was the week prior. In reading about that rally is where I saw the reference to a Va. Beach event. Glad they got it re-scheduled. A hearty turnout in Va. Beach will IMHO cinch the state for McCain/Palin.

Yes...Palin was supposed to be here on the 18th of September but that event was cancelled. I have friends on the City Committee who said it fell apart becasue some wanted to make the event a big dollar fund raiser for Bob McDonnell’s gubernatorial campaign next year and others, sensibly, insisted on a big rally...no fund raiser. I don’t know about that but that’s what I heard.

Actually I don’t believe he directly mentioned Wright or Ayers but he definitely questioned his character bigtime! And he came out swinging on Fannie and Freddie and Obama’s lack of leadership on the bill. Wow. That was the best McCain peformance I’ve ever seen. Think, “Reagan”. I’m serious.
