I hope he tells America that Obama tax plan will amount to the equivelant of the Smoot Hawley act in the Great Depression.

OMG, is he actually saying all this stuff???!!!! Where has this been????

I'm sure it was coming all along. You don't want to hit too hard, too early -- then your opponent has plenty of time to absorb the blows and the public views it as "old news" by election time.

I think McCain and his people have been astute in using their tactics at exactly the right time in the process -- even though a whole lot of armchair campaign coordinators would disagree.

I got a feeling that the dems thought McCain would play nice the whole time so lieing wouldn’t be a problem. (I thought the same thing.)

Frankly, if McCain failed to step up his campaign and using the truth in attacks he might have just as well conceded.

Tsunami alert. LOL

McCain was almost invisible last week. Is it giving him too much credit to think he was laying low until there was a disposition on the bailout bill?

Now that it has passed, perhaps he feels he can unload. There is also the possibility Sarah told him if he wanted to be President, he was going to have to fight for it. She seems more than willing to jump in the ring and stir up some dust.

John McCain, today, finally starts talking about Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the irresponsible leadership at both, and the Democrats' efforts to prevent serious oversight:
Our current economic crisis is a good case in point. What was his actual record in the years before the great economic crisis of our lifetimes?

This crisis started in our housing market in the form of subprime loans that were pushed on people who could not afford them. Bad mortgages were being backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and it was only a matter of time before a contagion of unsustainable debt began to spread. This corruption was encouraged by Democrats in Congress, and abetted by Senator Obama.

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.

Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign. He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them. Did he ever talk to the executives at Fannie and Freddie about these reckless loans? Did he ever discuss with them the stronger oversight I proposed? If Senator Obama is such a champion of financial regulation, why didn’t he support these regulations that could have prevented this crisis in the first place? He won’t tell you, but you deserve an answer.

WOW!

He called Obama out, said “I didn’t just show up from nowhere. Americans know me.”

Tied Obama to Fannie and Freddie

He failed to support regulation, took 2nd most money...

has had several positions on taxes, etc.

Said Obama never answers questions, called McCain a liar when he questioned his policies.

McCain, “If I ever need lessons on telling the truth, I won’t ask a Chicago politician.”

——much more!

Somebody at his campaign has been reading FR. He hit all the hot buttons

Said it is time “America knows the true Barack Obama.”

Ha, the Dow is heading up. Go McCain! Some of my independent/more liberal friends are asking me what is up with Obama’s ties to terrorists? They didn’t have a clue.

Shame that the MSM is gonna spin it that he is off his rocker, erratic, suffering delusion. Wish there was a way to shut down the OBAMA PRAVDA.

Basically pounding Obama on illegal donations from the internet, refusing to disclose his under $25 contributers list, returning several tens of thousands of dollars of illegal donations including from Palestine, online donation process rife with potential for fraud.
