I suppose the strangest thing about this story to me is that the state is involved at all. Do advertisers really think the rating system undercounts minorities? Well, don't use it then, or create your own metric. You don't need to sue Arbitron. Quite likely no perfect system could even be devised. Here Arbitron is actually trying to do what is really a service to advertisers, and they get sued for their trouble.

They have to find some way to justify those flips from rock format to tejano deep in the USA.

Do advertisers really think the rating system undercounts minorities? Well, don't use it then, or create your own metric. I'm guessing that a large business which declined to advertise at minority stations would be accused of discriminatory practices. Also, the rates the stations charge is based on their perceived audience.
The Democrats count on minority stations to support Democrats.

I am getting SO sick and tired of every GD issue being tied back to racism. You know what? I am developing a real hate for ‘people of color’.
Namely Barak OBammy, Al Sharpton, Farrahakhan, and Jesse Jackson. Every other black, I look at with a scornful eye until I can ascertain which way their political wind blows.
If they spew the Obammy line, I immediately withdraw and put them in the ‘radical, watch out for them’, genre.
To bad, that. But they have been race baiting me for to friggin long.
I am truly convinced there will be a race war in this country in 2-3 years.
Jerk this posting if necessary but I had to vent!

I am currently taking part in the Arbitron Survey ending this week. There is nothing under handed or bias in the survey.
I think he is just upset because there are millions of us people who listen to talk radio like Rush and Beck and not Rap or some liberal puke station.
