The name. When his mother married the Indonesian, thestep father adopted him. The name on the birth certificate will be Barry Soetoro, not Barak Obama which is on the ballot. Also, when the mother married the Indonesian, she and her son automatically became Indonesian citizens. The reason the step father adopted Obama was to ensure Obama’s acceptance as a citizen in Indonesia. Had he not done so, the child of a foreign wife would not have been accepted as a citizen. This is based on the Citizenship laws of Indonesia, 1958,( Sriro’s Desk Reference of Indonesian Law)
That’s what I think is going on.
What do you think will be the result of Berg’s efforts?
That appears to be Barry's status: illegal alien.

Yes. I agree with you that Obama is an Indonesian citizen. But I’m also beginning to suspect that he was actually born in Kenya.
There shouldn’t be any reason he couldn’t, in this instance, get a court order and have his original sealed birth certificate presented publicly.
That Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) that Fight The Smears has on the website is NOT a birth certificate. His sister Maya has a COLB and she was born in Djakarta, Indonesia.
Why would it be Soetoro when he didn't come into the picture until long after Obama was born?
Having been adopted in Indonesia at age 5 or 6 would not retroactively caused the State of Hawaii to change their state issued certificate of birth unless there was some concurrent legal proceeding in the Hawaii court system to change the birth certificate. Highly unlikely scenario.
Now the idea that he was born in Kenya and his birth registered in Hawaii when he was a week old causing the serial number on the certificate to be out of order for the day he was born sounds more plausible but I think is also a non-starter because I doubt that birth certificates were processed by birth date and time. I rather expect that the stack of paperwork was processed from top to bottom with newer stuff on top and older stuff on bottom and was somewhat dependant on how often the hospitals sent the paper work in. Once a day, a week, a month?
