I am sure the underlying message was, you should have health insurance and do preventative care for your asthmatic kids so they don’t end up in the ER with every asthma attack.
But what he said implied that we should not take our kids to the ER for asthma attacks. He illustrated that, should the government be in charge of health care, THEY would be deciding what we should or should not do at any given time. We lose our freedoms when we take the handout.
There was a question about whether health care should be treated as a commodity. McCain went first, and at the end of his segment, encouraged the audience to listen for the amount of the fine Obama planned to set for those of us who don’t have health insurance for our own kids or our employees.
Obama took his turn.
When he was done, McCain had a one-liner about how he still didn’t hear the amount of the fine.
I believe that I have the RIGHT to pay cash for my and my family’s health care if I so choose. As contrasted to a RIGHT for some government mandated health insurance.
Don’t despair, Mac is an older gentleman and a straight talker. He doesn’t have the flair like bama, but then again he isn’t selling aluminum siding to people with brick houses either.
