McCain, is McCain, is McCain. From the McCain who brought us McCain/Feingold, and McCain/Kennedy, can we expect a leopard to change it’s spots. Unfortunately not.
But the CNN focus group seemed to give him a pretty good score, so maybe the independents see something we conservatives don’t.
As I’ve said before, I don’t want Obama to win, so I’ll vote for McCain. But do I think a McCain Presidency will be an easy thing to take, heck no, it’s going to be frsutrating most of the time.
I agree. Obama cannot win. Obama stinks, and McCain stinks, but McCain stinks less, and at least he has a decent running mate. One thing I'm getting sick and tired of is the idiot child faction here on FR who runs around and whines about McCain's socialism, and who then act like they want to get Obama elected so he can take us down the path faster.
Is that a fact? Interesting.
Some of us are more self-critical. I thought McCain's convention speech was a bit flat - not bad, and he came across as a very real person, especially with that emotional story he closed up with, but didn't think it would be very impressive. After the fact, it was very well received, the highest rated speech for a convention of all time, even being shown on fewer networks than Obama, and I asked some people who are apolitical what they thought of it and they thought it was great. Sometimes, we "junkies" don't know how the non-junkies will react to things.
