There are plenty of former Nazi SS guards who worked their way into America as mechanics, etc. and seemed “nice”. They were deported and usually prosecuted, regardless.

They were deported and usually prosecuted, regardless.Imagine if Hitler survived WWII and was found in Argentina in the 70s. Some colleges would be lining up to hire him as a professor. Other people would be saying, "Oh, he's an old man. Leave him alone."
