We will ride through the dark days.

Yes we will, but the US will move further to the left, as it did during FDR's and LBJ's adminstrations.

We are still hobbled by the policies enacted during those times: the Ponzi scheme that is Social Security and the health care mess precipitated by Medicare, among others.

The US, as a society, was much healthier 40 to 70 years ago, and did not have the Entitlement Mentality that those two admininstrations have engendered now.

China is a more capitalistic country than the USA...

With little accoutability to shareholders, as these companies are run by the People's Liberation Army and their cronies.

That's why there are continuing problems with Chinese products, from dog food to children's toys, to milk.

The Chinese use capital, but have not developed the accountablity that long-term success requires.

Indeed, one of the insights of the book is that a major factor already tanking the stock market and leading foreign capital to flee America is the threat of the economic policies promised by Obama.

It is my belief, and obviously the same as within the article, that investors are scared to death of the prospect of the socialism about to befall the U.S. with Obama as president and the congress in control of both houses of congress.

Ever since the prospects became clearer that an Obama presidency was likely, the stock market has been losing more and more ground.

The more the reports of a possible Obama presidency, and the more the polls show Obama in the lead or increasing his lead, the more the stock market will lose.

That is what scares me the most! If the almighty were pleased with this nation we would not be in the shape we are in now. We have elected a bunch of “leaders” who worship evil.

McCain bringing up the point,

Discussions on blogs and in forums, the "republican" media writing articles about it, talking about it on tv and on the radio,

Word of mouth, and whatever other means available.

An interesting idea...

Let's get a republican talking head or a republican reporter to go to wall street and into brokerage houses to poll the brokers and investors about what it is that's scaring them right now.

None. Markets are dropping around the world and in most of them they couldn't care less, indeed might be pleased, if Obama wins.
