I used my sprinkler system to good advantage to keep the newspaper delivery person from wearing a path across my grass on the way to deliver a paper to my next door neighbor. I don't have a subscription to the paper, but it was my property being damaged. I took note of the typical delivery time and arranged for that part of the sprinkler system to be active in the time slot. End of problem.
