Do we know if the other members of the New Party that also won seats ran as Democrats?

It says Obama was one of four potential candidates looking for an endorsement. So did Obama sign a contract and get endorsed by the NP? That's unclear from this excerpt.

Did anyone think that the Obama’s campaign would say — “wow, nice work — you caught us! guess the gig is up!”
The stages of this kind of story read like this:
1. Discovery by the “wacko’s on the web”
2. 1st pick-up by major media (after grassroots pressure and the time to make sure the story is strong enough to run)
3. STONEWALLING and DISMISSAL (and hope and prayer that it goes away)
4. Follow on reporting by lazy journalists that add nothing and report it as “he said, she said”
5. MORE STONEWALLING
6. A good follow-up report that validates the claim with more evidence
7. STRATEGIC “MODIFIED HANG-OUT” (google for definition and history)— that admits some (non-refutable) elements of the story but attempts to obscure the conclusion and muddy the water
8. POINT-COUNTER-POINT with the media about the facts of the case — chattering class starts to opine and discuss creditability of the Obama’s response
9. Then (and only then) some of the story gets picked up by the McCain campaign — floated as a trial balloon (by SP?)
10. if it resonates or captures more attention — the story is then rolled out as a campaign issue by The McCain/PAlin Campaign...
A LOT HAS TO HAPPEN IN A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THIS TO HELP — WE MUST KEEP PUSHING THE STORY

I was reading about the New Party. The word “Fusion” comes up frequently. I am not sure if I completely understand. It seems like a candidate runs for office under two parties. In the end, he can add the votes together. There’s probably more to it than that. It would be interesting to see a ballot with this type of candidate on it. It would be even better if his name were Barack Obama.
FWIW: I sent this story with links and excerpts (about 3 pages worth) to Brian Ross from ABC News this morning. I just got an e-mail from him saying:
“Thank you for your input. We will get back to you if we decide to
investigate your lead.
Brian Ross & The Investigative Team”
Again, this is ABC and I’m guessing this is just a standard reply message. However, I don’t think it was just some automated reply since this was about 10 hours ago that I e-mailed him.
Too bad he added the part about not believing everything you read on the internet. :(

Exactly! We need to remind the Clintons that we (Rush specifically) advanced her for four additional months in front of the press, largely for our own benefit in weakening Obama.
Now she needs to come out for McCain and help us out, largely for her own benefit (for 2012)!
Let’s be honest about our ulterior motives! Now that’s bipartisanship we can believe in.
And to boot, McCain/Palin aren't really doing much of a job associating themselves with freedom. They're more like socialism-lite.
That is the exact reason that she will not. It would be bridge burning; she'd be in the same boat as Lieberman.
