Reagan certainly wouldn’t have advocated a $300B buy-all-the-bad-mortgages-and-screw-the-people-who-did-the-right-thing plan.
That was sure a bad thing to say...He could have said “I will have Gore at my right hand and Andrew at my left hand and together we will spend 300B of your money bailing out homeowners other than you.
