The guy who writes Page Six for the NY Post is named Richard Johnson.
I shorten the "Richard" part down to the familiar nickname "Dick" to maintain the spirit of "excerpting" information from that publication.
That's the sole reason. It has nothing to do with the somewhat funny (which I innocently didn't even notice!) result of having somebody named Dick Johnson credited with articles such as this. Honest injun.
