Even if he said this — what precipitated it — we don’t have the whole story and from what I read on Time magazine this is all they have. You have to be very careful in a Town Hall what a “supporter” says since there are plants from the Obama campaign at every event trying to get McCain.
McCain ads say it all right now. His gloves are off but he still has to be careful at a Town Hall event when it gets personal toward Obama because like I said you don’t know if that person is a plant and the media twists everything.
PhiKapMom - he said these things unprovoked. He obviously went into the rally meaning to say them. It was shocking to me.
I’m quite disheartened.
Now blaming McCain/Palin for the actions of one unknown person (could have even been an O plant, or not) among thousands, is in itself ludicrous. But such language, even if he simply meant kill him in the race, directed towards a presidential candidate, is uh, well, WRONG!
Unless we're suggesting that we should descend into total anarchy, and succumb to the practices of third world politics.
It's one thing to be "fired up" and fighting for your candidate, but tensions are high right now due to external factors, and tempers are short.
I'm not ready to write him off for trying to diffuse extreme rhetoric.
Well, what you said kind of makes sense. I feel a bit better
Gosh, don't you know you're supposed to pile on our candidate everytime a newbie troll posts a provocative half-story?
Your knee doesn't jerk and I thank you for it.
