The final findings were she was perfectly within her rights and power(not exact words but close enough)to fire this guy so how the he** could it be abuse of Power. The only thing the MSM is reporting is the abuse of power crap. Oh, well, anyone with a brain, and that means most conservatives, knows she didn’t abuse anything.

How can you abuse power but not break the law? Branchflower just had to get that jab in there even though he knew there were no grounds that she broke the law.

not as if this conclusion wasn’t know from Day One

I would like to see someone post a new thread “Alan Colmes Endorses Child Abue” since he is so very excited that Gov Palin and her husband intervened to fire the child abusing State Trooper ... according to Alan it was her abuse of power that was more important than the abuse of Monogan’s stepson.

She needs to point out what the report is really saying: it would have been entirely proper for her to dismiss Monegan because of his efforts to undermine her policies. Once Wooten attacked Gov. Palin's family, however, and Monegan failed to do anything about it, then she should have been ethically obligated to keep Monegan.

That's really what this boils down to, and she should express it in those terms. Although liberals often accept such logic when it's concealed, even a liberal should recognize the absurdity of it when expressed in simple form.

Palin should announce she is going find out who is responsible for this economic crisis, and abuse her power by firing them all.

what ever happened to Merry Fitzmas?
Didn’t Obama:
Conspire to commit massive voter fraud?
Conspire to deny freedom of speech (talk about abuse of power!)?
Conspire to undermine our nations foreign policy in Iraq?

Damn the Marxists, the MSM and the top of the ticket who refuses to stand up for his VP and his base.

I am so tired...

What exactly does that mean - abused power but broke no laws? That’s craxy.

What’s interesting are the recommendations for legislative action.

They are supportive of the frustration of those who had accused Trooper Wooten, but had skepticism about whether their complaints were being investigated vigorously.

Now THAT’s what I would love FReepers to discuss...these proposals.

Title should be corrected...the report says she violated Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a), on Page 8 of the report.

She didn’t violate any law by firing Commissioner Monegan, but the report covered more than just that aspect, and Stephen Branchflower claimed an Abuse of Power under AS 39.52.110(a) in the Trooper Wooten matter, separate from the Monegan firing.

Let’s calm down. If the mainstream news wants to make a big deal about this she will have the opportunity to respond to the whole thing in a public forum, now that it has been made public and she can talk about all the things he did. This will not be a great time for Wooten or Monaghan.

Look at the worst possible scenario. The legislature decides to impeach her. I assume the procedure is pretty much like the federal procedure. It seems to me that a lot of women across the United States would want to know why the system in Alaska would go to bat for a scumbag in lieu of a family that was threatened with and up to including death by a rogue trooper.

Personally, it could work for Palin’s benefit if handled properly. The very worst that could happened would be that she would be thrown out of office and then she could make a national name for herself as a woman who looked out for her family instead of being held back by a state bureaucracy.

Sometimes it is necessary to step over the line to get things done. If Wooten had killed one of her family would that have been better for her or or family? I doubt it.

Let the MSM take up their time attacking an innocent family instead of McCain. As I said it might be a net benefit.

Not sure which character it was but one of the members of the Hollis French Obamathon Committee that voted for this idiocy had to phone in his vote from Anchorage because he was busy being indicted for fraud.
