How about peaceful civil disobedience before, and leave that other suggestion of yours alone?

If enough people start emailing the news desks of their local affiliates - especially in smaller markets this information SHOULD trickle UP. At the very least people will start talking - word of mouth goes quickly.
When you write to your local TV News Stations, be sure to send it to their “News Tips”, or “News Desk”. When writing to local papers, try to find out who handles the National News Section, and/or the Political Section.
You can also present information to local papers in the form of a Letter to the Editor.
We could start putting together information to send out if people think that would help? That way we could all compare our notes, and we could source all of our info, too...
The idea would be to make it so the reporters don’t have to do hardly any work at all to extract the information they need to cover these things in their broadcasts.

How do we get Soros to fund US?
We don’t, but we get their attention by burning him in effigy.

Yesterday I was accosted by three young Obama supporters on the street. I gave them all a good talking to. Looking into the window of their headquarters I saw a bank of computers and a lot of people energized about what they were doing. I then went to the Republican office to pick up my signs and there was a nice man there who really didn't have a clue. I was astonished. Everyone says they will do it but nobody shows up. There is no one who wants to stand up and do something. I will be out tomorrow with signs and I guarantee I will be the only one.

This may be a little late but I signed in. We need to create the information we want to massive email. Letters, emails that we can all submit in unity. It worked well with the first bailout.

I’ve been out on street corner by myself three times doing my “mrconfettiman” events. I know exactly how you feel.
Go to the intersection leading into the biggest mall in your neighborhood. That’s where a lot of people will see your signs, coming in and leaving the mall!

Find out advertisers and notify them of the boycott. It’s all about hitting these media outlets in the pocketbook.

While you are at it, start a nation-wide, “no-work week.” They want to whine that they want more entitlement, yet they do nothing to help except bitch for more. Let them know what this nation would be like if everyone expected the government to keep them. No work, no taxes, no government.

I already stopped watching the network news, stopped reading the local newspaper and the Houston newspaper, and stopped reading Newsweek etc. LONG LONG AGO. I can’t stand ANY of them!

I believe in order to combat the type of leftist, liberal machinery we are faced with we must develop machinery of our own. We may not agree with them and their ideals, but they have been very successful at organizing and getting participation from large numbers of people who otherwise would be couch potatoes.
Think about what a community “cell” would look like. Create one and see how it works. If it works, great! If it has problems, take notes, tweak it and then try again. Do this until you have a model that works efficiently and effectively. I do realize that the models may have to vary, say from urban to rural communities, so they need to flexible at the street level but solid at the core.
Duplicating cell after cell after cell....from one small town to another to city after city.
Focus on creating cells that can sustain themselves over time and help train others to form cells. Soon we would have self-supporting groups in every city in the country. We need clear statements as to who we are and what we expect to see in the way of journalistic integrity. Reform or restoration? New standards? Oversight?

I agree this might be useful int he future. But right now we have a very short time before the election. If this is accomplished next Tuesday, we will then have 2 weeks after before election day. The hope is that we can cause enough stir to shake things up a little. If we can get attention, it will hopefully make others aware of the media bias and what they are not telling them. You and I are involved. We know the issues, but probably 80% don’t know or don’t care. We can use this opportunity to do something. Letting our frustration turn into something useful, is a start. We can’t be couch potatos, we can’t whine and cry “it’s not fair”, we have got to do something now.
