But she didn't break any laws...which of course AP fails to mention in headline.

"Governor Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads."

Nuff said!

that’s why there isnt going to be too much hay made out of this...it was a pretty lame story to begin with...especially amongst the 87 percent who voted for her as governor.

Who cares anyway-—she did nothing wrong, it is all political—and BS—nothing near as bad as the fact that Obambi plays with terrorists. This is a non-issue and complete BS. Besides the fact that the trooper is a loser who tasers 10 YO kids.

AP = Anti Palin...fools!!

They say she UNLAWFULLY abused her powers, but she didn’t.
They found she didn’t break the law.
Right?

“Finding Number One

. . . For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.11O(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52.11O(a) provides

“The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.”

Finding Number Two

I find that, although Walt Monegan’s refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.”

How bogus does it get? “A contributing factor”? That’s ALL? THAT’S abuse of power? The conclusion absolutely does NOT follow from the premise.

Can she talk about this now? I mean can we hear her side of this story now that this “report” is out?

Did Obama abuse his position but break no laws by donating large sums of money to ACORN?

Legislative panel is made of 10 Republicans and 4 Democrats. Are these Republicans stupid?

He worked at the pleasure of Palin. She can fire him for passing gas if she wants to.

Whoopteedooda! How does this story rank with Obama being too snooty to visit with soldiers while he was doing his treasonous PR tour in Iraq? Just wondering, because I haven’t seen the networks jumping on what is obviously a juicy story.

Correct, no laws broken and he was not fired but resigned - didn't accept the other job offered. They have nothing and this is why the AP story is short on “report” info. Wonder if this is from a “leak” or actual report. This is why Fox News said the Dems will be so upset with the findings. Nothing there.

The fact that the panel is issuing this now is a sign that we’ve already won on this issue. A few weeks ago the head investigator was saying this report would be an October surprise. Well, it may be October, but nobody’s surprised. If they thought they ould damage Palin more than themselves by releasing it later, they’d drop it on the Monday or Thursday prior to the election.

“The investigative report concludes that a family grudge wasn’t the sole reason for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan”

In other words she had reason! The media is the one that made it the ‘sole reason’....I hate the media.

CBS went on for half an hour about the ‘nastiness’ of the McCain campaign this week.....But what they’ve done for 6 weeks solid to Palin is not nasty?
