America's opponents in the Middle East are gloating at the financial meltdown in the United States, describing it as the divinely inspired collapse of an overstretched empire.
Hardline clerics across the region as well as representatives of U.S. opponents like Hamas and al-Qaida have described the plummeting stocks and frozen credit markets in the United States as a kind of retribution for American misdeeds.

It’s about time - upon reflection and speaking for myself only - In these decades of abundance, I have been too often; superficial, self-indulgent, wasteful, impatient, slovenly, careless, critical, lazy, whiny, rude, greedy and arrogant...
I am expecting that in these times of uncertainty He will test my character, courage and humility.
I hope that I and my children pass the test - as our grandparents and parents did.

I totally agree with you. My walk with God in the last 8 yrs have not been “holy and pure”. Been more denying Him more than walking with Him.
But our God is faithful to His chidren who came to Him by Jesus’ sacrifice. He will be a Father to us and is!
He is faithful to His remnant, but may not to America. What we sow is what we reap.

Where are the pundits that denounce Falwell, Dobson, and others for saying many similar things? When these Middle Easterners say it, they act like it must be true.

I think the good Reverend is saying that the die has been cast and the truth will not change the outcome of the election so one has to do what he/she can to cut off the funding sources. I don’t support these sources anyway but many unsuspecting good people do so.
“When these Middle Easterners say it, they act like it must be true.” Well it’s not true. For they Know not the truth. I may be a little poorer and the Middle Easterners may be a little uglier. I can make more money, but you are still UGLY !!
