Venue change announced for Gov. Palin Rally in Richmond on Monday

Demand for tickets overwhelming

Richmond, Virginia (October 11, 2008) ? The McCain/Palin campaign has announced a venue change for Governor Sarah Palin's campaign stop in Richmond on Monday. Due to overwhelming demand for rally tickets, the Richmond rally has been moved from the Arthur Ashe Center to the Richmond International Raceway. In addition, the program time has been moved to 2:00 p.m. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m.

"Enthusiasm continues to run high for the McCain/Palin ticket, and Virginians are excited to welcome back Senator McCain and Gov. Palin in Virginia Beach and in Richmond. If the constant flood of people visiting our headquarters and Victory offices isn't an indication of support for this ticket, then the fact that for the second time in as many visits, we've had to switch rally locations to accommodate the tens of thousands that want to attend should be," said Delegate Jeffrey M. Frederick, Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.

Be a part of what is shaping up to be the biggest Rally on the East Coast! Get your tickets online now. Take the day off if you can!

I went out today door to door with my three boys and we had a fantastic day here in central VA! Only two Obama supporters out of 50 or so houses. Also people are moving away from Warner and even the two Obama supporters didn't seem to be straight ticket Democrats and took the literature. This is the best weekend yet and I hope anyone within driving distance Monday shows up at the Rally. It is going to be amazing!

Huh? This can’t be! The media is telling us that Governor Palin is all washed up and guilty of something or other...

I've got my tickets and will be doing a ROAD TRIP! Before they moved the venue ticket requests were in the 24-25,000 range.

Please try to get wide angle pictures of the crowd, lots of them!

Post here. The MSM will never show the crowd size.

You, know, maybe we can a FReeper mole into an Obama event to see just how big a crowd he is really drawing.

I seem to see a lot of familiar faces at his events.

Kudos to you as well! McCain is going to have his missteps like all candidates, and it's something we need to grimace on but take in stride. Obama is walking in a minefield of past ill-deeds, and not even the despicable MSM may be able to guide him over the line.

"I went out today door to door with my three boys and we had a fantastic day here in central VA!"

I'm in 'central VA' and you didn't come to my house! Even though I already voted absentee for McCain/Palin - Gilmore - Goode. We would have at lease sent you away with a bag of apples of the trees.

I hope that Tom Perr-i-ello bag of BS doesn't catch up and defeat Goode in all this 'throw out the incumbents' frenzy. Goode voted NO-HELL NO twice on the bailout and also was with the House Republicans in the dark House for the drill-offshore-up-or-down fillibuster when it was lights and cameras off. He is an incumbent that deserves to stay. He als has the lowest record of earmarks as well. He's a 'good 'ol boy!'

"Post here. The MSM will never show the crowd size."

I thought this rally was a long time off because it seems to be absent from WSET 13 [ABC] Lynchburg; WSLS 10 [NBC] Roanoke & WDBJ 7 [CBS] Roanoke.

I have not seen this rally mentioned. The BillyBubba visit has though. Perhaps, I'm just missing it?

Hope it all goes well. I’d love to see some rally to compare to Obama’s Germany reception. Wouldn’t that be fantastic? Can the campaign put together a rally in Washington DC or some central location for a giant “take that” Europe rally? Or maybe something could come together here on the Left Coast.

Michelle Obama to campaign in Rochester on Monday

http://www.kttc.com/global/story.asp?s=9161408

She’ll appear at a rally at the Mayo Civic Center. The Obama campaign staff says the doors will open at Taylor Arena at 10:30 a.m. The program begins at noon.

This 25,000 space can seat up to 7,200 festival seating and 5,200 concert seating and is perfect for large banquets.

I’ll bet that there are more people at that rally than at a Nascar event.

Thelma Drake Congresswoman of Virginia’s 2nd district also voted both times NO to the bail out. Please support her if you live in Accomac, Northampton county, Hampton, Norfolk or Virginia Beach.

"Thelma Drake Congresswoman of Virginia’s 2nd district also voted both times NO to the bail out."

I'm 5th district. Virgil Goode [R-VA 5th dist.]. Bob Goodlatte [R-VA 6th dist.] is another NO-HELL NO twice against the bailout and a drill here drill now up-or-down vote on the energy bill man.

I’m glad you can keep your temper well enough to walk precinct for McCain. I’d just start foaming at the mouth - “what do you MEAN, you’re going to vote for that treasonous commie Obama?” I can barely even talk to my co-workers any more.
