A first grade class took a school-sponsored trip to a gay wedding

ProtectMarriage.com - Yes on Proposition 8

Dear Friend,

You're not going to believe this.

In the same week that the No on 8 campaign launched an ad that labeled as "lies" claims that same-sex marriage would be taught in schools to young children, a first grade class took a school-sponsored trip to a gay wedding. Eighteen first graders traveled to San Francisco City Hall Friday for the wedding of their teacher and her lesbian partner, The San Francisco Chronicle reported. The school sponsored the trip for the students, ages 5 and 6, taking them away from their studies for the same-sex wedding.

The wedding was officiated by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who arrogantly welcomed the arrival of same-sex marriage by saying "The door's wide open now. It's gonna happen, whether you like it or not."

It's no wonder that the No on 8 campaign is fighting tooth and nail to get our ads pulled off the air. It's because they're true. Not only will schoolchildren be taught about same-sex marriage if Prop 8 fails, it's already happening.

To make sure Californians know the truth, we need you to do three things right now:

  1. Forward this email to your friends and family right now, and ask them to forward it to their friends. Every California voter needs to know about this.
  2. Watch the ad the No on 8 campaign doesn't want you to see, and donate to keep it on the air.
  3. Please volunteer today, and we'll put you out in the field talking to voters directly -- as thousands are already doing this weekend.
Thank you for all that you do. Please spread the word and make sure your neighbors know the truth before they vote!

Sincerely,

Chip White
Press Secretary

We have to hold the line in California. McCain should run one ad in California the last week of the election in California detailing how he supports Proposition 8 and the definition of Marriage Between a Man and a Woman. Only if he has the cash. A 527 for California attacking Barack for opposing Prop 8 would be useful these last weeks. It would make California interesting since it is such a singular issue there. We need someone with enough money to do what McCain and the GOP will not to effectively take advantage of the explosive nature of this issue. The charges are set in several states and no one is lighting the fuse against Obama and the Democrat party.

I believe that parents have to sign off on any trip off campus, for any reason. If there is no signed permission slip the child must stay back.
I would not sign a slip for such an event.

“I would not sign a slip for such an event”

You don’t think the permission slip would say “Permission to attend a Gay Marriage” do you?

It might say permission to attend the zoo, or city park, or something along those lines.

“another reason to homeschool!”

With extremists like Wm. Ayers and other Marxists now poised to rule the public education system and set the curriculum, the teacher’s unions endorsing socialist candidates like Obama, people better start homeschooling.
The liberal demand now is not just that we allow people to make their own choices and be free, it is that we must THINK like they TELL us and accept THEIR definitions of EVERYTHING! (It’s our childrens’ minds they intend to have!)

The second they achieve this in a state it becomes hard to ever undo it.

Permission for your first-grader to attend a field trip to City Hall! SOUNDS educational, doesn’t it?

I was down in the bay area yesterday for a nephew’s baptism. I was actually surprised to see that the Yes on 8 yard signs and bumper stickers outnumbered the No ones by roughly 6:1. Granted, this was down in San Mateo but still, I wouldn’t have imagined that. Maybe people that live there are as tired of this minority rule as the rest of us, I know I am. I’ve got my Yes on 8 yard sign up, I’m just waiting for someone to try and tear it out.

“What parent would raise a child in San Francisco these days anyway?”

The sad thing is homosexual marriage is spreading across the nation via the courts - don’t think it can’t happen in any of the states or where you live.

They are still PEOPLE.
What do you think of heterosexuals who have multiple partners and engage in the very sex act that you describe in your post?
I'll let God be the judge.
And, YES, we DO have some friends, and family members who are homosexual and NO, I don't hate them.
The couple we know have been monogamous for over 20 years.
For the record, I DON'T believe homosexual marriage should become the law of the land.

“Maybe people that live there are as tired of this minority rule as the rest of us, I know I am.”

Eventually folks will realize they are taking money from real families and children and subsidizing gay couples.
