SECRET talks are under way to bring Islamic sharia law courts to Scotland, The Scotsman has learned.
Qamar Bhatti, director of the Muslim Arbitration Tribunal (MAT), which runs the courts, admitted discussions were taking place with lawyers and Muslim community groups in Scotland.
The group is believed to be aiming to set up courts in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

For whatever reason, I’m thinking the Scots will be among the least likely to let some of this crap happen. Look for some fireworks over there, sometime soon. Can’t wait, will serve as a nice example for the rest of Europe.

Ironically, Anthony Burgess predicted this whole situation in his hard-to-find book 1985. It was widely dismissed, and yet it is the closest to all the nightmare ideas concocted by British sci-fi writers.
I hope you’re right. They are fairly anti-religious either way, but they have politicians like George Galloway too. Should be interesting.

Being a Scotsman by blood, I am very concerned over this. I had hoped to visit Scotland within the next few years, but should this become reality, I will make other plans.
I continue to believe, that as it pertains to these misfits of the human race, unless we kill them all and let God sort it out.... we will never have peace and security.
All the warriors left Scotland before the Revolutionary War in America. What’s left are transplant Brits moved to Scotland a few hundred years ago.

You and me both. I am strongly Scottish on both mother and father side and wanted to continue my mother’s dream to visit the “homeland”. However this muslim business has gotten to me and I’m reconsidering.

Just what the hell does he think Sharia Law is? It’s hard to tell if this is cowardice or common stupidity.
One can hope that it won’t come to violence but that’s a fool’s hope.
