Maybe not "shave" shave with a blade, but use the old #2 on the Osterizer.
I'm not sure why it's "creepy" - although I gues it could be uncomfortably reminiscent of how the death camps groomed their prisoners, male and female.

I really hate wearing a sheitel, I prefer a hat any day. For years I attended a modern Orthodox synagogue where none of the women covered their heads. But as a “shlucha” I am expected to wear a sheitel. Now I see a whole younger generation all wear sheitels, which was very unusual 30 years ago.

In her home state, retailers are looking to capitalize on the governor's patronage. Just before she was offered the nomination two weeks ago, Gov. Palin went shopping at Out of the Closet, an Anchorage-based secondhand store, with her 14-year-old daughter Willow and her infant son Trig. She picked up a Juicy Couture coat for Willow and a tweed blazer for herself by Escada, which is one of her favorite labels, a saleswoman says. She buys at second-hand clothing stores.
She really is Everywoman.
