Race and the Race
Politico ^ | 10-13-08 | Gary Bauer

The political Left is beside itself trying to comprehend how John McCain remains competitive with Barack Obama in the race for the presidency. Three-fourths of the electorate thinks the country is headed in the wrong direction; Democratic Party registration is up, while Republican affiliation has plummeted; and President Bush’s approval ratings have languished for years. How can McCain still be in it?

A growing number of liberals have jumped to a troubling conclusion: It must be racism. But though race was always going to play a role in the first presidential election with an African-American nominee, how much of a factor it will be, who will be affected, and how, aren’t as clear as some suggest.

Yes. Race is a HUGE factor in this election. Without it, Hussein wouldn’t even be in the running...

Reflections of “The Princess Bride”, except on election night, when, over and over again, an upset Chris Matthews keeps saying, “Inconceivable!”

Looks like Obama might not be able to use the race card anymore.

"However he may seek to deny it, all evidence points to the fact that, from his position as board chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Barack Obama knowingly and persistently funded an educational project that shared the extremist and anti-American philosophy of Jeremiah Wright. The Wright affair was no fluke. It’s time for McCain to say so." [Wright 101 by Kurtz]

Bauer failed miserably. Trotsky invented this word part psychobabble, part incitement, but what it means is never clear if it has any meaning at all. (beyond a crude form of race baiting). If Bauer and any other lickspittle had to actually define “racism” and then apply it to their polemic it would all sound like a colassal joke.

Liberals aren’t troubled when there is racial division in society, they’re ecstatic. It provides an opportunity to smear their Republican opponents, to take full advantage of divisions in our society. They’re just lucky whites don’t identify themselves with their own race as strongly as minorities do.

Yes, it will be fun to watch the msm types trying to salvage their wrecked credibility after this one. What will be even more fun is seeing them try to explain their outrageously naked bias to their next prospective employer.

For example ask the looniest of the loony Olbermann if we bitter old whites are the “Sons of Yacub” since it sounds like he agrees with Calypso Louie.

This has to be the craziest election of all time. The leftists and Marxists have brought out all the big guns this time but are befuddled why they haven’t put it away. It must be disheartening :)

The “big guns” ought to be the characters in a “South Park” parody, but the establishment conservatives play nice with them.
