I concerned all right. I don’t look forward to four years of hateful, malicious left wingers calling this country racist because it voted for the white guy when all the polls were predicting a big win for the black guy. When the real problem is not racism but these demonstrably false and even fraudulent polls.

But then I realize that I will get to watch Sarah Palin on the national scene for the next four years. Life is good.

I’m afraid it’s over.

It's very close to being over, that's true. And John McCain will be sworn in on January 20, 2009.

Dear Friend —

Let me be clear...

I have been a lurker on this site for 5+ years — I recently registered and have become fairly active because I'm convinced that Barack Obama represents the gravest threat to our freedom and prosperity since FDR...

Politically, I'm a little to the right of Charlemagne... above my desk are two photographs — one of Ronald Reagan the other of William F. Buckley, Jr. — both are inscribed with personalized thank you notes... I worked for both of these great men and admire them both greatly.

So... “Troll”? “Enemy Spy?” — neither.

Just a person who is interested in seeing all of the data and thinking about it rationally. The early voting stuff is real, it doesn't bode very well for us — and I was GENUINELY hoping some freeper would be able to provide a different (more positive perspective) on this.

BTW — the “Freeper Registration” date is helpful - but did you try searching on my screen name? you would have found all of my other posts — which would have made abundantly clear that you and I are on the same side.

he does have a point.

In FL the DNC stages rallies across from the voting stations (but respecting legal distance)

Then after or during the rally, union thugs “escort” the attendees to vote.

Kerry did the same thing.

They did it in 2006.

"Anybody see any silver-lining here? "

Yes! Don't believe the media. They lie to suppress your vote.

Propaganda...it's called.

God bless America!!! McCain/Palin 2008!!!

Firstly, the source is Karl Rove — not the Howard Dean.

Secondly, the data couldn't be more straight forward — for example — in 2004 more than 50% (up from 25% in 2000)of the voting in NM was done BEFORE election day... the expectation is that this year early voting in NM will represent 75% of all votes cast...

Thirdly, Early voting (as Rove’s piece mentions in the footnote) is driven by the ground campaign.

Lastly, who has the better ground game this year? Obama - without question — yes it's an evil, corrupt, vote stealing ground game lead by socialist thugs — but it is nonetheless a more effective ground campaign.

So — the early voting phenomena is real (proven by the data)and it doesn't bode well for us (because early voting is driven by the ground campaign — and Obama is better at that then we are this year).

QED.

Does this mean we should despair and give up — no way — but how does hiding from the fact that (for instance) NM is probably already in the bag for the Obama-messaih help us win this election?

If Obama's ground game is so effective, why have the Dems so far put up disappointing numbers in Ohio - supposedly THE swing state of this election?

If Obama's ground game is so deadly, why did he get his butt kicked in virtually all the Dem primaries?!? Especially in the larger states. No caucuses, no Obama nomination.
