But more to the point, your insistence on maintaing a false polition on the right to own and bear arms, and its source -- and trying to drag God and religion into the equation -- is damned sure not helping anyone to understand what is going on.

While that other guy belittled the DoI, it is THE founding document and outlined our philosophy for governance.

Our Founders believed — as most people still do today — that we are creatures of God and that we are indeed endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights, including life.

Along with the right to life, we have the right to protect ourselves and defend our lives with deadly force, if necessary. Without the right and the means to defend your life, the right to life is meaningless.

Maybe he believes that he doesn’t have a creator and that government dispenses rights. That’s what government would have us all believe but it just ain’t so.

Maybe his looyah training beat all the sense out of him.

Yep. I'm with you. I've already started doing it in some less obvious ways (certain licenses and permits and such that no "free" citizen should ever have to get in the first place). It may be time to escalate.
