You have to go back a little further to the Declaration of Independence. That's when we told you to bugger off. I think the words were...

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Gee, I didn't know that fine document was addressed to me!!!

Beautiful, idealistic words -- the introduction to a very well written declaration addressed to King George III of England, telling him to bugger off (not me), And it has ABXSOLUTELY NO FORCE IN LAW. It is not the law of the land -- The Constitution and its Amendments are the Law of the land.

So what has that got to do with the subject of this thread?
