If we've reached the point where pointing out that Obama associates with known terrorists turns off the voters, then the country is lost. Within two election cycles we'll have Dem candidates openly campaigning with Ayers, Sharpton, and Hamas members and people like you will be afraid to criticize it for fear of appearing “extreme”.

2ndClassCitizen: There will never be another civil war

The United States, as we knew it, cannot persist much beyond about 2020 [even if McCain wins].

If Obama wins, look for states to begin exploring secession no later than about 2012.

If anything your example supports my point.

Ah, no. My example disproved your point, and you changed the subject.

Your disinterest in facts is obvious to everyone reading this thread by now, so I won't trouble you with any more of them.

If you could add and subtract, you would find that since Gor almost tied in the polls and won popular vote by 3% or so, that’s the cushion I am suggesting.

No change in subject.

Dems have a great record in winning close elections. Republicans usually don’t win close ones. 2000 was an odditty. An outlier if you will.

Again, if going on November 4th, McCain is not up by Average of 3 points in respectable polls, he is toast. EVs won’t get it done this time.

You said that a Republican has to win the popular vote by 3% to win the election. Yet Gore won the popular vote outright in 2000, and still lost. This flatly disproves your statement.

I think what he meant was that the GOP has to win about +3% of the legitimate vote, because otherwise the DEMs will get some judge to order the polls to stay open until all the dead people from the cemeteries have voted, and if they still don't have all the votes they need, then they'll just keep recounting until they get the result they want.

So the GOP needs at least +3% in any election to have a prayer of winning.

That’s what he “means” now. It isn’t what he said earlier.

don’t believe this one or the ABC Wash Post poll yesterday with 10 point lead

more reliable polls show 3-5 points...which if GOP turns out is manageable

hopefully

*note KOS and DUH know this too

Hey genious, the better question would be why are the Democrats not pressing the Secret Service to get this “angry right-winger”.

Thanks for missing the point.

You are either a Troll or just dense.

Go be polite to the nice independents (who are overwhelmingly going for Obama despite McCain’s BS attempts to court them.)

That would be good data if you were conduction a poll in 2006 but it does not reflect party ID data for 2008.

Not so. In 2006, with a 43.6 percent turnout, the breakdown was D38, R35, I29. Turnout in 2004 is going to be in the 50s, and that voter pool is going to include more Republicans and conservative-leaning Independents. In 2004, a 55 percent turnot produced an electorate that was 37D, 37R, and 26I, with the Is spliting 49-48.

Gallup and, I think,Battleground is predicting a 60% turnout, consisting essentially of the 2004 turnout plus 5% of newly registered yoots and minorities (which isn'thappening....that's another subject). Regardless of whether turnout is 50, 55, or 60 spread, the Democratic advantage (if any) won't be more than 2-3 points -- not the nearly double-digit advantage that many of these polls are assuming.

Obama is widely seen as running the more positive campaign: Sixty-one percent of those surveyed say McCain is spending more time attacking his opponent than explaining what he would do as president. Just 27 percent say the same of Obama.

- - - - - - - - - -

Obama's a SLICK liar, and the media and general public don't care about that, I guess.

Obama HAS a LOT of NEGATIVES, but the media isn't TOUCHING those issues, cuz they're in the TANK for OBAMA!

NONE of the cra* in this article is surprising to me.

McCain needs to HAMMER him on the issues the Independents and Conservatives care about.

The Lefties won't be swayed at this point, they are voting FOR SOCIALISM and Obama already ... their minds are made up!!!

Ping! Ping! Ping!

Dear FRiend, I remember election day in Nov. 2004. At 5 pm, EST, Zogby issued his famous prediction: Kerry would win with 312 electorial votes, Bush would receive 203 electorial votes. This was like telling the western voters to not even bother voting that evening, Kerry had it won.

Needless to say, Zogby lost all credibility after that, and particularly when it came out that his brother is on the board of directors of CAIR.

IOW, there are a lot of powers that be that would give anything to gain control of the White House through a tool like Obama, but it won't happen. Trust God and don't worry.

Unreal group from Florida this morning on FOX - this one idiot woman claimed she thought Obam would be a great President because “his mother died of cancer and cancer is everywhere”..... Yeah, I think stupidity is too..

They skew these polls to keep their people enthused and persuade the undecided, who want to say they voted for a winner, to finally fall on Obummer’s side of the fence.

They also want to run off McCain voters who might decide why bother.

A better written disclaimer than mine needs to run with all of these poll threads.

You are exactly right regarding the Pollsters.

The two most common ways to “stack the deck” for the
Democrap are:

1) OVERpoll the Democraps

2) Poll REGISTERED voters instead of LIKELY voters

One very recent poll was found to have polled 39% Democraps
and only 30% GOP voters. It concluded a TEN POINT LEAD by
Obozo as a consequence!!

Democraps get almost FULL SUPPORT from the TV and Newspaper
media, while Republicans get near ZERO fair coverage by them.

So the GOP has to fight the Democrap opponent AND the TV
and Newpaper media as well.

It’s an UPHILL and VERY DIFFICULT fight that must be fought
and WON !!!

Thank you!!
