I think ignoring pollsters or sending them in false directions is a good idea. The problem with telling pollsters something different than what you actually believe is that they’ll then report the misrepresentation as the truth. If you say you support Obama, then it drives his numbers up and that is used as a hammer against the undecideds.
Better to refuse any interview than to lie, imho. That creates an entire, inscrutable demographic that throws off the pollsters.

If that is true, why have McCain/Palin been campaigning so much in Iowa and in PA (Scranton is Joe Biden's HOMETOWN)...and I don't see Obama campaigning in Juneau or Sedona.
Cheers!

the country is at stake every day. the president is ONE PERSON. congress is 500 PEOPLE. if you want to make a serious difference, vote in a congress that isnt full of idiots. i will never again vote out of fear or vote for someone 'because he isnt the other guy'. i am going to vote for someone who represents my interests, as the system was designed. you people who try to influence others to vote out of fear are the ones killing conservatism in this country. if everyone voted for someone because they thought that candidate would represent their interests instead of the political party they are in, we would all be in a lot better shape. you go ahead and vote McCain.. then, once he is in there and its back to RINO business as usual, you can whine and complain about where the republican party went wrong. i am first and foremost a conservative. i am NOT A REPUBLICAN. give me a conservative to vote for. when Palin runs for president next time (assuming she has a good record) ill probably vote for her.
</end rant>

Has the mentality of being entitled to something for nothing infiltrated conservatism? It's obvious that it has.

You left out the ACORN massive vote fraud factor, which is a much larger factor in this election than it was in 2000 and 2004.

Exposure of the massive voter fraud and illegal campaign contributions is a MUST!!! Voter fraud is one of the primary issues, IMO.

THis is the same crowd that sat out the 2006 elections just to prove a point to the Republican candidates. Wow, that really worked out well didn’t it? And now they’re wanting to do it again when the stakes are so much higher than in 2006? At least with McCain, we’ll have some semblance of conservatism. Rather than with Obama, where we absolutely KNOW we’re going to get socialism. He flat out said to the plumber on Monday. He’s getting cocky because he believe’s it’s a done deal.
SO all of you who are going to “sit it out” or “vote for a TRUE conservative” ... hang on for the ride. It’s going to be bumpy and something we might not recover from. Once the camel gets it’s nose under the tent flap, as they say. Once Socialism gets started, we won’t be able to stop it.

How dare you back down, how dare you give up on John McCain and Sarah Palin? Right now they are the only two people in the world standing between the America we love and cherish and a society remade in the image of Barack Obama.I hate to admit it, but this is a great point.

THEY WORK HARDER FOR MCCAIN/PALIN THAN WE DO!!! We need to get off our sorry butts and work just as hard as they do.
That's true. And it's very, very annoying.
For too many on our side, an election means sitting on your butt and griping about why we aren't winning in the polls.

Last night I dreamed that John McCain reached up to the top of his head, pulled down on a heretofore unnoticed zipper, and Bob Dole stepped out.LOL!!! -- But seriously, I know a great psychologist that might be able to help you!

I’m not negative against McCain and his policies. I’m negative against how he’s running.
To: mlocher
We got stuck with him. We did not elect or nominate him to be our candidate.
