The problem I have with this story is the insistence that Ms. Baker was "transferred" by Obama ... to New York, and then to Martinique.

It may be the case, but it's difficult for me to believe that the Obamas could actually exercise that level of control over her life.

Caribbean Islands? How does this play a part in this child’s short life? Who were the baby’s parents? I’m curious to how the child died, who the parents were, are the parent’s still alive, anything else. The SSN was assigned through the Enumeration at Birth process, no SS-5 Application exists.

Thought the birth timing - late 2004 in MD (DC area?) and the death location of the Caribbean were interesting.
