Have A Look At What Obama Is Reading As He Comes Off His Plane

Posted on 10/15/2008 9:53:01 AM PDT by My Favorite Headache

He is reading "The Post-American World" -- "This is not a book about the decline of America, but rather about the rise of everyone else." So begins Fareed Zakaria's important new work on the era we are now entering. Following on the success of his best-selling The Future of Freedom, Zakaria describes with equal prescience a world in which the United States will no longer dominate the global economy, orchestrate geopolitics, or overwhelm cultures. He sees the "rise of the rest"—the growth of countries like China, India, Brazil, Russia, and many others—as the great story of our time, and one that will reshape the world. The tallest buildings, biggest dams, largest-selling movies, and most advanced cell phones are all being built outside the United States. This economic growth is producing political confidence, national pride, and potentially international problems. How should the United States understand and thrive in this rapidly changing international climate? What does it mean to live in a truly global era? Zakaria answers these questions with his customary lucidity, insight, and imagination.

Just something to ponder as Election Day 2008 rapidly approaches!

Do you have an original shot of this from a news source.

My thoughts exactly. I am always skeptical of photoshopped pics. I would love to pass this along, but I do have my credibility to worry about.

It is Obama’s agenda.

It was the Clinton administrations agenda as well. They *want* America to be "humbled" by her enemies and lose her leadership role. You *can* lift others up without cutting yourself off at the knees but that's exactly what Democrat political thinkers want as a foreign policy.

I suspect they don't know about the scorpion and the frog.

And so you are one of those who believes that when troubles loom the world will no longer look to America as the saviour.

They’ll call China or Brazil to fix it?

someone needs to get a grip!

This man is not running to be President of the US, he running to bring America to the table for assimilation into world government.

Post of the day.

Thanks much! I am not surprised that he would be reading this. Reagan read Wealth and Poverty and look what happened. Guess what we are now in store for?

He skims a lot of books to pick out catch-phrases to use in media soundbites.

He’s too stupid to read a matchbook cover.

First time I’ve checked Snopes.com Obama page, and you’d think the O man himself was the editor! Nothing bad is true about this man (photo real, but book is not really bad). Surely he can walk on water!

Yeah...that should tell us alot about him! Also don’t you just love that he carries his own bag and book and oh...I don’t know...it reminds me sooo much of Jimmy Carter. He used to do all that too. Look what that got us!!! Poor, Poor America. The people in this country have become so dumbed down that they can’t see a fraud is being committed on them!

I blame the communist democrats, and lilly-livered republocants who have allowed them so much power for this. We have turned from a nation of winners to whiners.
