If true, this just confirms McCain has taken leave of his senses. I can't believe a Chicago liberal like Obama has any following at all in Wisconsin, outside of the usual Madison and Milwaukee.

This would assume he’d actually had ads here...?

Could have fooled me.

There are Republican National Committee ads and McCain ads. The article talks about Republican National Committee ads.

Your title says McCain is pulling ads.

Text says RNC is pulling ads.

Which is it?

The RNC and McCain coordinate legally and RNC ads promote McCain. Since McCain’s money is limited by public financing, most of McCain’s money is actually RNC money.

Here is the best ad Frank Luntz has tested with focus groups. Run by a 527. McCain should be running this ad.

If McCain has pulled adds...it’s because his internals are reflecting the bad news. Perhaps we just don’t want to believe reality....

McCain Campaign:

“We are pulling out of every state except Utah. That way we won’t be wasting our money”.

Sheesh. I still say McCain has moles in his campaign.

Or John McCain is a mole.

Why would they make such an announcement?

Don’t need Wisc. anyways. Just win what Bushie won in ‘04 and you’re A-OK.

McCain has taken leave of his senses? LOL. You make a living writing Dem talking point, don't you?

WI was the closest state the past two Presidential elections. McCain/Palin have visited there a lot. I really don't see them giving up on it with three weeks to go.

mccain is simply a terrible candidate running a terrible campaign. he is not inspiring and no matter how many times you roll palin out there, shes not running for the presidency, mccain is. everyone keeps getting excited after mccain gains a point here and a point there. hes down nationally on average by at least 6 points. no significant shift has happened. i fear we are staring at an obama presidency and people better get ready for it. you will be in shock come nov 5th if you dont.

the dems are gonna come close to a veto proof majority in the senate too. i fear for our republic. we are about to lose everything that made america america.

McCain received 84 million dollars as his own campaign money from the national election board and it has nothing to do with the Republican National Committee money.

Sort of, why is that when Obama pulls out of GA there is nary a peep, McCain pulls out of MI or WI and it’s doom and gloom?

This is very much like Election 2000 folks, and Obama has a money advantage and a media advantage.

I think he has a better shot in NH, ME and CO then WI.

I have no idea if the article is true or not. I just posted it.

Neither do I. McCain/Palin giving up on Wisconsin is insanity.

Polls in WI aren’t always right either. Most have Bush ahead there throughout the ‘04 campaign, some by large margins. I thought it was one he would pick up from 2000 but no such luck. I guess fraud was enough to put Kerry over the top, as it was for Gore in that state.

McCain is apparently not runnning any ads in N. Virginia/D.C. area either.

ALL I hear, EVERY 2.75 minutes on evry radio station is Obama ads.

ALL I see, every 5.5 minutes on ALL the local network TV stations is Obama ads.

Wisconsin went 50-49 for Kerry in 2004. While it seems like possibly fertile territory for Republican campaigns, the electoral map makes it mostly irrelevant. Win either Ohio or Pennsylvania and they win the election, winning Wisconsin by itself without another swinging state and they still lose.

Just dump it all in to FL, OH, VA, NC, NV and CO, and PA, which has a lot of bang for the buck.
