DUmmies Begin to Hunker Down (Full Panic Mode)
Self | Vanity

Posted on 10/16/2008 7:11:15 AM PDT by DrHannibalLecter

Even the DUmmie COmmies now think McCain will get a bounce from his brilliant performance last night.

see the quotes:

"McCain was tougher last night than in the previous debates, and showed a bit more crispness in his assertations than he usually does. -----------------------------------------------------"My point in saying this is to prepare people to ride out the storm. " ------------------------------------------------------- "Thats fine. Then people will see how important it is to get out the vote" -------------------------------------------------------- I agree...last night, Obama won the debate...this morning, it has slid to McCain...I just PRAY the election doesn't follow suit... -------------------------------------------------------- Yes... I agree. I expect that he'll pick up 1 or 2... maybe 3 points.

Tell them to stop panicking. They have 8 more states that will sign the pre pledge law of signing over the electoral votes left to win. Actually, they need less than that to win. But the bills already passed and are awaiting signature.

My state pre pledged our electorals, did yours?

http://www.nationalpopularvote.com/

Anyone else ready to tar and feather their governors, the DNC and RNC? Taking away our vote is an act of war.

In any case, I smell fear from them for the first time since we chose Palin. I think they realized their hubris might finally cost them a sure thing....

Even the DU Obamanoids are starting to doubt the vomit being spread around by the Obamedia? LOL!!! Obama Hussein DOES NOT have this election “in the bag.” Especially when people start figuring out that it’s the thought that Hussein might win that is causing the stock market to fall like a rock.

You can’t get a real bounce in fake polls. I got news for the DUmmies, bambi has never been ahead since Palin was chosen. The election was over on that day and no amount of phoney baloney polls can change that.

Their ideology gleefully revels in flaunting all 10 commandments, so it couldn’t be the God of Abraham & Isaac.

To: mabelkitty

I’ve not seen one lawsuit filed. We had threads on this back in January. From what the freepers that posted said, there is no law saying how the electors can vote.

Then, the issue went quiet.

Now, the states that have the bills that passed look like states that will sign.

The electors are pre pledged and Obama will win.

And this forum seems very quiet about it.

Don’t panic. Only the leftmost states will vote for this, and they can only do something different from what happens now if the GOP gets the popular vote. Guess who that helps!

They have been carrying out vote fraud for over a century (Mark Twain referred to Dem vote fraud). There might actually be less of it this year in the end, because the brighter light shining on it may scare some potential fraudsters off. I hope!

America has become too lazy and complacent for its own good. We have incompetent and corrupt politicians who are destroying our country with the help of their accomplices in the media. We have to blame ourselves when we keep electing the same idiots we give an approval rating of only 9%. What happened to this country that would make it even consider electing an empty suit like Obama? I can't think of another time in history when a candidate like Obama would get more then 5% of the vote, no matter what color his skin was. They say we are more informed then any generation but what good is that when the information is 90% liberal propaganda? Maybe people will wake up when they can't get gas for their cars or feed their families following an Obama/Pelosi economic plan.

I believe the “fine print” in most of (if not all of) these state laws is that a majority of the states need to agree to it before it is implemented.

This is a battle for the next election. Not this one.

Which 8 states? I'll bet that they are all steady blue states.

From that website:

The bill would enact the proposed interstate compact entitled the "Agreement Among the States to Elect the President by National Popular Vote." The compact would take effect only when enacted, in identical form, by states possessing a majority of the membership of the Electoral College (that is 270 of 538 electoral votes).
Sounds like it only takes effect if they get enough states to pass it, it does not take effect one state at a time. Am I missing something here?

There are suppose to be 21 states signed onto this by November. Everytime I go to a different section of this site, I find more states. I’m not up to 21 yet. I have a definite 187 with more states to add in.

When I’m able to come through the whole site, I’ll post them all.

If you are referring to awarding electoral votes based upon who wins the most votes nationwide it does not go into effect unless all or almost all states go along. It is true that electors can vote for any eligible candidate as long as P and VP are from different states.

Even liberals have 401(k) plans and IRA’s. People vote pocketbook issues, always...............

I've been thinking about that for a couple of weeks.

If they admit that it is an interstate compact, they are screwed from the beginning. Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 of the US Constitution states...

"No State shall, without the Consent of Congressenter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."

These idiots should know that little piece of information. What surprises me is the number of morons who don't know it.

A Constitutional Amendment would be required to elect the President by popular vote.
Article II

Section 1. The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows:

Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an elector.

They [states] are pre pledging the electoral votes. They don’t need an amendment to do that. There is no law stating how the electors cast their vote.

Here is the links that go to each’s states legislatures

>>> it does not go into effect unless all or almost all states go along.

It is not the amount of the states, it is the number of electors. They are at 187 electors now with 8 more states that are on board for signing. I’m still looking to see what those totals will be when I figure out what the 8 additional states are.
